If you are looking for rare classical opera or experimental music theatre, if special jazz concerts or musicals are your thing, or wish to be immersed in the past at an exhibition, all you need to do is tune into Budapest’s cultural
flow, which resembles the flowing water of the Danube. The word “flow” here applies to the state of happiness that is hardly attainable without a little help from the arts. Extraordinary productions of classical music
and dance, entertaining musicals and unique exhibitions make up for the cultural flow that is well worth immersing in. Visit Budapest and let yourself swept away by the Hungarian capital’s irresistible cultural flow.


Day 1: Arrival

Individual arrival at Budapest. Accommodation in a comfortable 4-star Hotel in he city center. We suggest you to explore the downtown on your own by walk : Váci Street, Vörösmarty Square, and Danube Promenade. In the evening you can attend one of the previosly selected culture program.

Day 2: Budapest

After breakfast you will take part on a traditional Budapest Sightseeing tour and be be familiarised with the World Heritage sites of the capital, Andrássy Street, State Opera House, Heroes Square and Millenium Monument, the Buda Castle District, Fishermen's Bastion and Matthias Church, the view of Danube Bank and the panorama of the city, Gellért Hill, the Margaret Bridge and even visit the inside the House of Parliament. Optional visit a Museum and an evening performance.

Day 3: Danube Bend excursion

You will join to the group, make a full-day tour to the Danube Bend with guide (Esztergom - Visegrád - Szentendre).

First visit Esztergom, the oldest royal and ecclesiastical residence. After the city tour you travel to Visegrád, where you can admire the grandiose panorama of Danube Bend. Lunch in a pleasant restaurant. The last stop is Szentendre, the lovely, romantic art town. In the evening you can attend one of the previosly selected culture program.

Day 4: Budapest

Free day at leisure or optionally take part on a half-day excursion to Gödöllő Royal Castle and horse show. This tour introduce the impressive baroque summer palace of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) of the Habsburg Dynasty. On the horse show admire the skill of the famous Hungarian "cowboys". After returning Budapest, relax a bit or visit a Museum, then close the day with an evening cruise on the Danube.

Day 5: Departure

Culture Program Venues

Palace of the Arts Opened to the public in March 2005, every part of the Palace is at the service of culture. It is the home of music – classical-, jazz-, world music and opera– dance and contemporary art. The top floor of the Palace offers an exceptional panorama of Budapest, the Danube bridges and the hills surrounding the city.

Opera House The Opera House opened in 1894, is one of the most significant art relic of Budapest. Designed by Miklós Ybl, a major figure of 19th century Hungarian architecture, the construction lived up to the highest expectations. Ornamentation included paintings and sculptures by leading figures of Hungarian art of the time. Many important artists were guests here including Gustav Mahler, the composer who was director in Budapest from 1887 to 1891 and founded the international prestige of the institution.

Madách Theatre This musical theatre offers world famous musicals for its audience. There on the stage non-replica productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sucessfull musicals : The Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat or Jesus Christ Superstar and Cats, has been running since many years with overwhelming success. The lovely story of Mary Poppins (by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh) is also on stage.
National Museum Visitors can admire here the archeological and historical artefacts that represent the adventurous episodes of Hungarian history.
National Gallery The largest public collection documenting and presenting the rise and development of the past five hundred years of fine arts in Hungary.

Ludwig Museum Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art, Budapest collects and displays masterworks of modern and contemporary art.
